🎉 First research paper from the lab is published: multi-species limb atlas and an axolotl story

We generated a comparative single-cell atlas of limb development across five species (frog, axolotl, mouse, chicken, and human), revealing broad conservation of major cell types. Our work established a quantitative framework for evolutionary cell biology approaches to regeneration, and resolved a long-standing debate surrounding axolotl limb development and regeneration. Critically, findings in this work suggests that mammals (including humans) retain the cellular and genetic capacity to generate regeneration-associated cell types.
